It is a type of common stainless steel with a high nickel content that has various major properties including excellent corrosion resistance, easy processing and withstand high temperatures. At Nicro it is mainly used to make products for the heat treatment sector such as muffles and retorts, bell furnaces, fans and radiant tubes. These alloys contain less than 0.1% of Carbon, between 18% and 25%of Chromium, from 8% to 20% of Nickel. The latter stabilizes the crystalline structure caused by high temperatures, down to normal average, extending the so-called “austenitic area”.
