Open Factory: doors opened by Nicro to discover local businesses

Back to the 9th edition of Open Factory. The two-day event dedicated to industrial tourism and manufacturing culture, promoted by ItalyPost, Italian Touring Club and The Economy of Corriere della Sera, scheduled on 25 and 26 November 2023 is opening the doors of the factories that have made and still make the history of the Italian economy and value, so as to understand the cultural, social and economic importance of doing business.

For Nicro, the Open Factory on November 25 becomes an opportunity to the history of the company and its plans for the future, its own and the community of reference; to attract young talents and discover the beauty of Italian manufacturing. On November 25, there will be three tours, each of about two hours, and each dedicated to a particular visitor, so as to live Nicro in a personalized and tailor-made experience.

For almost fifty years, in fact, Nicro has been involved in the development and construction of high nickel alloy steel products, operating internationally for companies in different industrial sectors. From heat treatment, to Oil & Gas, to the naval and pharmaceutical sectors, Nicro is specialized in the realization of plants and components subjected to high temperature and highly corrosive environments.

In Nicro workshops and offices, in fact, the most ambitious projects and the most disparate prototypes are realized. Our technicians can collaborate directly with customers, intervening in the development of prototypes and custom designs. But they can also intervene with reverse engineering processes, to create components with improved performance and lifespan, researching alternative materials and customized solutions.

The first shift is reserved for clients, especially new ones who have never come to visit us before. Because at Nicro we are convinced that the meeting and the relationship are a fundamental gesture, to strengthen the ties with partners and collaborators. A recipe that works, given the long-standing partnerships we have established with some of our customers.

The other two tours are open to anyone who wants to participate and know the history of Nicro, the values and what we plan will be the future of the company, of Italy, and more directly of our community. After a first moment of general presentation of the company, to describe history and products, in fact, we will guide you on a visit to the workshop, to explain the working techniques, and the design skills of our highly qualified technicians.

Nicro will also participate in the inaugural event on Monday, November 20, together with all the companies that take part in the project. Gerolamo Soliveri will be invited to talk and discuss the themes of this year’s Open Factory: innovation, and the search for specialized personnel. Two key words that have always guided the history and work of Nicro, as well as the manufacturing excellence of our country.

And don’t miss the speech by Gerolamo Soliveri, on November 26, for the online version. Nicro will participate in the live broadcast, and the Head of Strategies for Nicro will talk about the company, accompanying the film shot by Open Factory technicians.
