Today, sustainability is no longer just about environmental concerns. Driven by the desire to take an extra step towards its employees, Nicro has further developed its social policies in the area of welfare. In addition to the activities in July celebrating over seventy years of the company’s entrepreneurial history, Nicro recently organized a team-building event during working hours, blending leisure with values such as integration and care for people.
This initiative strengthened team cohesion, highlighting the importance of employee well-being. Through playful activities and a barbecue, participants had the opportunity to interact, emphasizing the value of collaboration and mutual respect. The event provided an afternoon of fun and collective growth, laying the groundwork for future initiatives aimed at promoting harmony and productivity.
A Sustainable Team Building
On September 25,2024, Nicro held a special team-building event—a barbecue aimed at fostering integration between departments, with randomly assigned teams for the games and interactions among colleagues from different areas. The use of local resources, such as fruit supplied by Mister Natura, already the provider of fruit and vegetable delivery services for the company, reaffirmed Nicro’s commitment to supporting local businesses and ecological practices.
A distinctive element of the team-building activities was the self-managed approach. Unlike many companies that rely on external agencies, Nicro involved its own employees in planning and managing the event, promoting a strong sense of responsibility and participation. Members from various departments actively collaborated, with some employees from the production sector volunteering to prepare the barbecue, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and belonging.
The mixed team composition for games such as Foosball and Giant Darts encouraged interactions between colleagues from various departments, breaking down operational barriers and promoting internal cohesion. The random team assignments made the event surprising, encouraging new relationships between employees who do not normally work together, thus improving communication.

Both tournaments, managed by the employees, encouraged active participation and the emergence of leadership dynamics. Additionally, the event included the “Sweet Enigma”, a game designed to stimulate curiosity and critical thinking by guessing the number of candies in a transparent box.
The simplicity and accessibility of this game also engaged those who prefer less dynamic activities, creating an inclusive environment. At the end, a prize-giving ceremony took place, during which the tournament winners received mini trophies, while the winner of the “Sweet Enigma” received a mix of local products, once again underscoring the company’s commitment to local resources and sustainability.
Although symbolic, the awards reinforced the sense of participation and recognition among employees, contributing to a positive company atmosphere.
